Beat The Heat: Easy-to-Make Summer Coolers At Home


With the onset of summer, the most important factor during this season is to stay hydrated to maintain good health. As the mercury level rises, the body loses water at a faster pace due to sweating. Experts often advise us to drink an adequate amount of water during summer to avert heat strokes and other ailments.

Here, we’ve curated a list of some delicious summer drinks that are guaranteed to help you stay hydrated, and refreshed, and will beat the heat easily.

  1. Guava Masala MojitoYou must’ve tried the regular Mojito, give this refreshing drink a Guava twist this summer. For preparation, simply blend small pieces of Guava with sugar, pepper powder, a pinch of salt, mint leaves, roasted cumin powder, lemon juice, and cold water. Strain it and pour it into a glass. Add some ice cubes and soda water to it and it’s ready. It’s that simple. Serve it chilled.
  2. Aam PannaAccept this fact; the only good thing about summers is Mangoes. While it can be eaten raw you can also curate some lip-smacking drinks out of it too. Aam Panna is one of the most favourite, and refreshing drinks during summer and will help you prevent heat stroke. To prepare this drink, you just need to boil a green mango. Once it gets soft, blend it with water and make a thick paste out of it. Next, put the paste in a pan and add some spices and sugar to it and once it gets dissolved take it out in a bowl. Add 1-2 tbsp of that mixture to a glass of chilled water and ice and mix it well. And you’re ready.
  3. Apple Cinnamon Orange Mint TeaDespite being a hot beverage, this drink is best for a summery day. It is rich in vitamins and minerals. Just boil sliced apples, oranges, cinnamon, mint leaves, and green tea bags all together for a few minutes. Pour the healthy drink into a cup and serve it hot.
  4. JaljeeraApart from its refreshing taste, this drink is widely loved for its digestive properties. It is prepared by using only Zeera (Cumin seeds) and Water. Roast some cumin seeds and make a powder out of it. Add black salt or other spices to it and mix it well in cold water.
  5. Watermelon CoolerEscape the summer heat with this ultra-refreshing and delicious beverage. Blend some watermelon chunks with some spices until it gets smooth. Pour it into a glass and add some ice cubes and soda or water to it. Mix it well and enjoy. You can also add a squeeze of fresh lime and mint leaves for a better taste.
