This year, Ram Navami is going to be celebrated on April 17, Wednesday. This day marks the birth anniversary of Lord Ram and is considered one of the most auspicious days in Hinduism. On this day, apart from worshipping Lord Ram, the devotees also worship Lord Hanuman and hoist his flag in their homes.

On Ram Navami, devotees across the country show their devotion to Lord Ram through offering prayers. They also worship Lord Hanuman, who is known as the biggest devotee of Lord Ram. As per the beliefs, worshipping Lord Hanuman on the day of Ram Navami rids the devotee of any troubles.

According to the renowned Ram Katha narrator Pandit Jagat Kumar Pandey, Lord Hanuman is worshipped on this day because he is Lord Ram’s most revered devotee and worshipping him pleases Lord Ram. This is why people like to hoist the Hanuman flag in their homes. Furthermore, the flag is considered a victory flag. You must offer your prayers to Lord Hanuman on the day of Ram Navami, as it is believed to give you good results.

Pandit Jagat Kumar Pandey said that on the occasion of Ram Navami, one should wake up before sunrise, take a bath, meditate and worship the Navami Tithi. Then, light a diya in front of Lord Ram’s photo or idol and worship all the other deities. Moreover, Lord Ram should be offered with flowers, sweets, fruits and more. After that, an aarti to showcase your devotion to the lord should be performed.

On the day of Ram Navami, devotees worship Lord Hanuman while wearing red clothes. Offer him with Panchamrit and recite the Bajrang Baan or Sunderkand. This would please Lord Hanuman and take away any troubles you may be facing, the beliefs state further.
