Akshaya Tritiya, commonly known as Akha Teej, is a crucial Hindu festival that is considered sacred. The term ‘Akshaya’ refers to something perpetual or never fading. Any spiritual acts undertaken on this day, such as Japa, Yajna, Pitra-Tarpan, or Dan-Punya, are thought to offer immortal benefits that will last endlessly.

According to the Drik Panchang, Akshaya Tritiya will be celebrated on the third day or Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Vaishakha, which falls today on Friday, May 10 this year. Similar to Dhanteras and Diwali, Akshaya Tritiya is deeply significant in Hinduism. In particular, Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi are worshipped during Akshaya Tritiya.
The occasion is said to bring good fortune and success. Most people buy gold on this day because they believe that doing so will bring them fortune and money in the future. Being an Akshaya day, it is believed that gold purchased on the event will never diminish and will continue to grow or be appreciated.
This year, Akshaya Tritiya will create a combination of favourable yoga for some zodiac signs. Reportedly, Dhan Yoga will occur on May 10 this year and it will benefit three zodiac signs by making them affluent. In addition, a Gajakesari Yoga will also occur in Taurus as a result of the Moon and Jupiter’s conjunction. The Sun and Venus in Aries will form Shukraditya Yoga.
The conjunction of Mars and Mercury will create Dhan Yoga, Saturn’s placement in Aquarius will create Shash Yoga and Mars in Pisces will create Malavya Raj Yoga. All these yogas will offer significant benefits to three zodiac signs, which are:

- Aries (March 21 – April 19)The Dhan Yoga created on Akshaya Tritiya will financially benefit Aries. Progress in career and business is possible, and there will likely be prosperity in the household. Gains in property are possible.
- Taurus (April 20 – May 20)Taurus will welcome Akshaya Tritiya on a positive note. Along with the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi, there will be advancements in business, employment and prosperity. There will be growth in future-oriented investments.
