WWE NXT action made an exciting return on Monday. The latest episode of the weekly wrestling event was jampacked with seven advertised fights. NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez’s opponent for the upcoming WWE NXT Battleground event in Las Vegas was also revealed. In tag-team action, fans witnessed Edris Enofe join forces with Malik Blade against Good Brothers. Whereas, the show’s main event saw Je’Von Evans team up with Trick Williams to take down Gallus.
Sexyy Red unveils the new NXT North American Championship
Brand manager Ava Raine said NXT had the best women’s division amongst all rosters. She spoke on the upcoming six-woman ladder match at NXT Battleground for the North American Championship. Shen next revealed Sexyy Red as the event’s host. Red next made her way to the ring and unveiled the new championship belt placed in the centre. Suddenly, Tatum Paxley appeared out of nowhere to snatch the belt from Red, but Mia ‘Michin’ Yim stopped her from running away with the championship. The duo then competed in one-on-one action for an opportunity to make the six-woman ladder match for the same title.
Roxanne Perez’s NXT Battleground opponent is revealed
This segment of the WWE NXT began with Roxanne Perez entering the ring and getting on the microphone. Perez then talks about how she’s the only superstar who has appreciated the NXT Women’s Championship properly. Next, Ava Raine entered the ring and told Perez she was a great champion but her days could be numbered because of her mystery opponent. Perez then announced the arrival of reigning TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace who would go on to face the champion at Battleground.
Noam Dar and Oro Mensah’s attackers is identified
Following the show’s main event, the Meta Four’s Lash Legend made her way down the ring. She asked Williams if he was the one who attacked Noam Dar and Oro Mensah. Just as Williams was about to answer, the light went off and Ethan Page appeared. He fired some right hands on Williams before grabbing the mic and revealing that he had attacked Dar and Mensah. Page then delivered a running knee to Williams in the corner before lifting the NXT Championship in the air.

Mia Yim and Tatum Paxley in an NXT Women’s North American Championship Qualifying Match – Yim wins using Sole Food to qualify and book her place at WWE Battleground.
Ridge Holland vs Riley Osborne – Holland sealed a pinfall victory after hitting Osborne with the Redeemer.
Edris Enofe and Malik Blade vs Good Brothers – The Good Brothers hit Enofe with the Magic Killer for a pinfall win.
Arianna Grace vs Lola Vice – Vice won her match by pinfall using a back fist.
Dante Chen vs Lexis King – Chen won the match off a crucifix pin.
Kelani Jordan vs Wren Sinclair in an NXT Women’s North American Championship Qualifying Match – Jordan won the match via pinfall using a split-legged moonsault to qualify for WWE Battleground.
Gallus vs Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams – Williams delivers the Trick Shot Jumping Knee to Mark for a pinfall win.
