Android 15 has been officially announced by Google at the I/O 2024 this week, which also marks the availability of the Android 15 beta 2 update. The next phase of the Android roll out moves beyond the Pixel phones, and gives more people access to the upcoming Android version.

Google has been working its way to ensure that Android update roll outs are faster and seamless like what iPhone users get from Apple. But the fact that most of the Android OS is fragmented means Google doesn’t have all the control it needs to get it done. The company says Android 15 could be a change in the right direction.

Android 15 Beta Update: Now Available For These Brands

Google’s blog post on Android says, “The Android 15 beta is now available on handset, tablet, and foldable form factors from partners.” Here is the list of the brands that are now offering the new version except for the Pixel series:

– iQOO

– Lenovo

– Nothing

– OnePlus

– Sharp

– Oppo

– Realme

– Tecno

– Vivo

– Xiaomi

– Honor

If you have phones, tablets or even foldable devices from any of these brands, Android 15 beta update is available for download. All you need to get the beta version is sign up for the Android beta program from the settings of the device. Google is aiming for the stable version of Android 15 by July-August, giving it another couple of months for the final adoption in the market.

How To Register For Android 15 Beta Update For Your Device

You can enjoy the benefits of the new Android beta version that will officially make its way with the Pixel 9 series later this year.

But to receive the beta update for the eligible device, you have to sign up for the Android beta program. Head over to the beta program website, enrol the eligible device for the beta update. Once you have done that, follow the steps given here:

– You can go to Settings of your phone/tablet/foldable

– Click on System where you can scroll down to System update

– Check for a new beta update available for the enrolled device

– Install the update and reboot the device to start using the new version

The Android beta versions are generally buggy so we don’t recommend you install it on the primary device which can behave erratically and also cause network issues.
