In fresh development in Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s killing, sources have indicated that it was a case of gang war and any Indian involvement in his killing is unlikely. Sources said that the Nijjar killing could be a case of rivalry between Khalistani Tiger Force, Sikhs For Justice and Dashmesh Gurudwara Surrey.

Sources said that the Dashmesh Gurudwara group under Satinder Gill had been operating for the last 35 years and had not reached anywhere, while on the other hand, Nijjar’s rise was sudden. Sources added that both the groups had been fighting for some time and were getting drugs, weapons and money from Pakistan, which they were using for local use. Sources said that these were given to the groups by Pakistan Embassy in Canada.

Nijjar had been involved in carrying out illegal activities for Pakistan for some time and reached everyone because of his clout, said sources.

Sources added that one Gurpreet Sahota was working for Satinder Pal Gill and was also the publisher and editor of his paper Chadhti Kalan, a paper backed by Khalistani groups. Gurpreet Sahota had uploaded a post within five minutes of Nijjar’s killing, stating that he was killed by India.

Sources said that their informers were Pakistani groups and that this is a false propoganda done by Pakistani groups.

The group did the same after the arrest of these three people in Nijjar’s killing and started a propaganda that the Indian government was involved and did this with the help of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and other gangsters.

Nijjar, 45, a designated terrorist, was shot dead in June 2023 outside a gurudwara in Surrey, a Vancouver suburb with a large Sikh population. A few months after his death, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had claimed that his government had evidence that Indian government officials were involved in his killing.

The Canadian police had earlier this month arrested and charged Karan Brar (22), Kamalpreet Singh (22) and Karanpreet Singh (28) in the city of Edmonton in Alberta. The police said that they are probing if the men had ties to the Indian government. On Saturday, the Canadaian police also arrested Amandeep Singh, 22, and charged him with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in Nijjar’s killing.
