In a video that has wowed netizens, US envoy to India Eric Garcetti listed what all he and his staff have achieved over the past year after he took on the role. The video shared by Garcetti on Monday has amassed over 190,000 views and has been lauded by netizens as an example of how to make a ‘top-tier’ video with some even saying that ad makers would be left in awe of the script and the content of the video.

The video begins just like any formal video that would mark a diplomat’s first year in a nation but with bits of comedy mixed with narrating the achievements made by both governments has attracted the attention of netizens.

Garcetti praises UPI in the video at one point and says ‘UPI Gazab Hai’, tsk-tsks and swats a hand away which was demanding a bite from his sumptuous Chhole Bhature and even says he has fallen in love with cricket.

“This is not a new peak. This is a new foundation for the work between Indians and Americans in the future,” Garcetti said, highlighting the ISRO-NASA joint project, US-India cooperation in healthcare and renewable energy sectors and the work put in by his staffers to reduce wait time and increase the number of visas, resulting in 1.4 million visas processed last year.

The video was also reposted by Hood co-founder and Ginger Monkey founder Abhishek Asthana, who goes by the username @GabbbarSingh on X.

“What a fantastic video! Even Top tier ad makers won’t be able to pull this off. Watch,” he said, commenting on the video.

“He was the Mayor of LA, so has a natural flair for showmanship,” a student from the London School of Economics said.

“Yeah, one video I didn’t realise was three-and-a-half minutes long!,” said chartered accountant-turned-writer Nishtha Gehija.
