JSW MG Motor India launches AI chatbots Avira and Vir with Google Cloud for enhanced customer engagement

Avira is aimed at enhancing the car-buying journey by offering a highly interactive and personalised experience. Vir, on the other hand, is designed to empower users with extensive information about electric vehicles.

JSW MG Motor India has partnered with Google Cloud India to launch two AI chatbots, Avira and Vir, developed with Google Cloud's AI capabilities and Riafy. These chatbots aim to enhance customer interactions and service, being the first in India to use this advanced digital technology for customer engagement. Based on PaLM 2, a large language model by Google, the chatbots are available on the MG website, WhatsApp, EVPEDIA website, and EVPEDIA WhatsApp.

A boost to operational efficiency

As part of JSW MG Motor India's broader strategy to use AI to boost customer satisfaction, these digital assistants aim to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experiences, increase sales, and provide insights into customer interactions. The chatbots tailor responses based on customer preferences and history, allowing for personalized interactions with real-time support that can foster greater customer satisfaction and trust. With multilingual capabilities, Avira and Vir are designed to offer natural and dynamic conversations, learning and adapting from customer interactions to become more intuitive over time.

Satinder Singh Bajwa, Chief Commercial Officer of JSW MG Motor India, commented on the introduction of the chatbots, saying, "We continue to leverage technology to redefine customer engagement and operational excellence. In collaboration with Google Cloud, the launch of Avira and Vir marks a significant milestone in our journey to enhance consumer experience."

Bikram Singh Bedi, Vice President and Country MD of Google Cloud India, expressed excitement about the collaboration: "We are excited about this collaboration with JSW MG Motor India as they embark on a journey to innovate and reimagine their consumer experience by leveraging our AI platform."

Avira and Vir role

Avira is aimed at enhancing the car-buying journey by offering a highly interactive and personalised experience. Accessible via text and voice on the JSW MG Motor India website and WhatsApp, Avira helps customers with inquiries about JSW MG cars and efficiently resolves their questions. Using advanced generative AI, Avira ensures human-like interactions that provide a seamless and engaging experience for potential car buyers.

Vir, on the other hand, is designed to empower users with extensive information about electric vehicles. Available through the EVPEDIA website and WhatsApp, Vir acts as an expert guide on electric vehicles, educating customers on the latest in the EV landscape. By providing detailed insights and easy access to essential information, Vir assists customers in making informed decisions about electric vehicles.

JSW MG Motor India continues to adopt tech-first initiatives such as MG Xpert, MG Epay, MG VPhy NFT, and MGVerse to enhance customer experiences. The rise in smartphone usage and AI integration has driven JSW MG to introduce innovations like chatbots and the MG Metaverse, highlighting their commitment to innovation and customer needs. These initiatives aim to foster stronger relationships with customers.
