Neolite ZKW launches eco-friendly manufacturing plant in Pune for automotive lighting

New Delhi: Neolite ZKW, a prominent player in the automotive lighting industry, inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra, with an aim to enhance production capabilities and drive sustainable and energy-efficient manufacturing. The facility represents a crucial milestone for Neolite ZKW as they strive to integrate cutting-edge technology and eco-friendly processes.

The inauguration ceremony featured Venkatram M, Managing Director of Groupe Renault, as the Chief Guest, along with senior dignitaries from various OEMs, and Neolite ZKW's Managing Director Rajesh Jain and other board members.

The company is known for investing in advanced technologies such as high-resolution LED headlights for Adaptive Lighting Systems and exploring the potential of laser light as the next significant advancement in the industry.

Sustainability is a core aspect of the new facility, which incorporates zero-discharge processes and initiatives for water recycling and reuse. These environmentally friendly measures are in line with Neolite ZKW’s broader objective of creating a greener and more sustainable manufacturing environment. The company aims to support local and global OEM partners while aligning with India’s decarbonization goals, the company said in a media release.

“The inauguration of our new plant in Pune is a significant milestone in our pursuit of leadership in automotive lighting innovation. This facility enhances our capability to cater to the evolving needs of the Passenger Vehicle Segment by providing cutting-edge lighting solutions tailored to the market’s demands. We are committed to delivering superior quality and performance, and this new plant will play a crucial role in achieving that goal,” said Rajesh Jain, Managing Director of Neolite ZKW.

Importance of plant's location

Rajesh Soni, Chief Executive Officer of Neolite ZKW, emphasised the strategic importance of the new plant's location. “By establishing this facility in Pune, we are bringing our operations closer to our key customers. This move allows us to offer greater convenience and quicker response times to our valuable customers. As we continue to grow, we aim to replicate this level of proximity with some of our major clients as well, ensuring that our innovative products are readily accessible to support their evolving requirements.”
