The benefits of meditation have been emphasised time and again for everyone, especially the students. It is because they need high amounts of concentration to channel their energies in various aspects in the most productive manner. SN Chari, a yoga guru, realised this need and has taught meditation for the past 25 years. He shared his experience of teaching in an interview with Local 18 Telangana. Chari says that meditation is important for a person to concentrate on the many facets of his life. As of now, he is taking meditation classes for the students of classes 5 to 10 in their summer vacations. His classes happen in Ram-Krishna Saraswati Vidya Niketan, Shivaji Nagar and Nizamabad district centre. Chari said that meditation is essential for children to increase their concentration and focus on their studies. He said that when the children take up a book and start studying, their mind is distracted due to some other reason. As per the Yoga Guru, meditation helps them to calm the mind and focus on the book itself.

According to him, when the mind is calm and relaxed, the students will be able to recall every word studied in their books related to any subject. Cheri said that anything read without ample concentration cannot be remembered properly. As per the Yoga guru, chanting the Om sound makes a person mentally strong. he said that the students come here and meditate. This helps them to focus on their studies instead of wasting time on mobile phones at home.

Cheri said that when people are focused, they will perform their duties at their workplace, studies, or anywhere else without leaving any room for loopholes. For example, when sunlight is diverted on a piece of paper through a magnifying glass, the paper burns. If the paper is placed under the same sun rays, it will not be impacted in any form because they don’t have the same levels of energy. Cheri also said that when the man proceeds ahead in his life with clarity of mind due to meditation, he can achieve results with a rejuvenated sense of power. He added that this energy is highly useful for good deeds.
