WhatsApp is used by millions for audio or video calls but the overall experience has left people wanting for a long time. The messaging app could finally listen to their wishes by offering a new audio call bar that will be highlighted whenever a person is on a call and allow them to mute or end the call without going to the main screen.

WhatsApp Audio Call Bar: What Is It

WhatsApp beta users on Android are seeing this new feature trickle down. As per the details from Wabetainfo, the bar is basically a mini-screen version of the calling interface on WhatsApp that ensures you can stay on the call and end or mute it without going to the main call interface on the messaging app.

The feature is available to limited testers on Android for now but we can expect more people to get the option as the tool evolves and becomes bug-free.

WhatsApp calling needs more tools that make the experience better and having this mini audio bar at the top of the screen that offers these features will surely enhance its usage and bring more people to use the platform for calls.

That’s not all, WhatsApp is working on more features in the beta version. We all know that chats take a lot of space on your phone because of which most of us need the cloud storage backup option. The messaging app gives you basic details on the storage but soon you can have more data on the kind of content using the storage, especially if you also have signed up for WhatsApp Business.

WhatsApp beta users on iOS are seeing the feature roll out and we expect the official release to happen in the next few weeks.
