New Delhi: Porsche has globally launched the 2025 Porsche 911 Facelift, focusing on enhancing the Carrera and GTS trims. Porsche India announced the commencement of bookings for the New 911 Carrera 4 GTS and 911 Carrera following the global premiere. The Porsche 911 Carrera is starting from INR 19,899,000 (ex-showroom) while Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS from INR 27,542,000 (ex-showroom). Deliveries for the 911 Carrera are expected to start by the end of this year.

The facelift includes subtle changes to the exterior design and upgrades to the interior features. However, the most notable update is the introduction of hybrid technology in the powertrain.

The new 911 Carrera, available in both coupe and Cabriolet, and the Carrera GTS, are now open for global orders. These models are expected to arrive in India by late 2024 or early 2025. The 911's hybrid technology marks a significant shift, and the smaller 718 model will follow this electrification trend. Initially, the hybrid powertrain is exclusive to the GTS, with more hybrid versions expected in the future.

The 2025 Porsche 911 GTS comes equipped with a 3.6L turbocharged 6-cylinder boxer engine, now paired with an electric motor integrated into the 8-speed PDK transmission. This combination delivers a total output of 541 BHP and 610 Nm, a notable improvement over the previous non-hybrid model. The electric motor adds 15 HP and 150 Nm to the mix.

With this new hybrid powertrain, the 911 GTS can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3 seconds, with a top speed capped at 312 kmph. This boost in performance also results in a quicker Nurburgring lap time of 7 minutes and 17 seconds, cutting 8.7 seconds off the older model's record. The 400V battery pack, however, adds 50 kilos to the car's weight.

For the Carrera variant, there is a newly rebuilt 3.0L twin-turbocharged boxer engine, which produces 394 HP and 450 Nm. An intercooler, borrowed from the 911 Turbo, has been added to boost its performance.

The GTS trim comes with standard rear-wheel steering and PASM sport suspension, making it 10 mm lower than the Carrera. The Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control is available as an optional feature. Additionally, the GTS benefits from wider tires and drag-reducing wheels for enhanced handling.

The 2025 Porsche 911 sports new LED Matrix headlamps and an updated bumper. The GTS variant features larger active aero flaps on the front bumper, a new connected tail lamp cluster, and a variable spoiler at the rear. It also includes a sport exhaust system.

Inside, the 911 offers a 12.6-inch curved display instrument cluster and a 10.9-inch infotainment unit. This system provides easy access to drive modes and music apps, with the capability to stream videos while parked. Buyers can choose between a 2-seat layout or a 2+2 configuration for the cabin.

In summary, Porsche's introduction of the hybrid technology in the 2025 Porsche 911 Facelift blends classic design with modern performance enhancements, setting a new standard for future models.
