Bharatendu Kabi steps down from his position at Hero Motocorp after 20 years of service

New Delhi: After serving almost 20 years in Hero MotoCorp, Bharatendu Kabi, Head of Corporate Communication & Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) has decided to step down from his role. He played a vital role especially in critical moments like the separation from Hero MotoCorp's former joint venture partner Honda in 2010-11.

Kabi's tenure will end on July 31, 2024, and the company is yet to announce its successor. He joined Hero MotoCorp in March 2005 to lead the Corporate Communication function and has contributed in instrumental, and important decision making.

"I wish to pursue other opportunities. I have enjoyed my time at Hero and I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to contribute to its success," said Bharatendu Kabi in its resignation letter.

"His strategic guidance has been instrumental, especially during critical moments like the separation from our former joint venture partner Honda in 2010-11. His contributions have played a significant role in strengthening our brand presence," said Hero MotoCorp, CEO Niranjan Gupta.

Additionally, Kabi was also a key member in spearheading our engagements with various sports associations worldwide, spanning from Motosports to Cricket. In 2021, he took on the added responsibility of leading our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. Under his leadership, we made significant progress in creating a greener, safer, and more equitable society.
