Bajaj Auto appoints Ramtilak Ananthan as CTO of the company and Abraham Joseph as MD of Chetak Technologies

New Delhi: Bajaj Auto, a leading two and three-wheeler manufacturer, has appointed from April 1, 2024, Ramtilak Ananthan as the new Chief Technology Officer of the company. Additionally, Abraham Joseph is appointed as the new Managing Director of Chetak Technology Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company focusing on new and innovative mobility solutions.

Prior to this role, Abraham Joseph was part of Bajaj Auto as CTO and part of Senior Management Personnel till Mar 31, 2024. Ramtilak Ananthan, before being appointed as the CTO of Bajaj Auto, headed the Test and Validation in the R&D department of Bajaj Auto Limited, the company said in stock exchange filings.

The company has infused additional funds in BACL, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bajaj Auto. “Additional investment in the equity share capital of BACL of INR 2,250 crore in a phased manner, in addition to the existing INR 600 crore approved earlier”, the company said.
