TVS iQube Recalled for Voluntary Inspection, Check Details

TVS Motor’s one of the tech-loaded product iQube, which has received an overwhelming response in the Indian market, now has been recalled by the brand for inspection.

It has been reported that the battery-powered scooter has witnessed some bridge tube components in the chassis, which forced the brand to take the initiative.

The issue has reportedly affected the models, which were manufactured between July 10, 2023, and September 09, 2023. The company has not shared the actual data of the affected units. However, it will connect with the customers, asking them to visit a nearby authorized dealership to sort out the issue free of cost.

Here’s What Brand Says

The company in its official statement said, ” TVS Motor will inspect the bridge tube of TVS iQube electric two-wheelers that were manufactured between July 10, 2023 and September 09, 2023 to ensure that the vehicle’s ride handling is good over extended usage. The company will also carry out any rectification, if required, on affected scooters at zero cost to the customer.”

TVS iQube Price Range

Meanwhile, TVS’s latest offering iQube has been dominating the segment since its release. The model was launched at the starting price of Rs 95,000, while the top model goes up to Rs 1.55 lakh. It is offered in five trims, featuring different battery packs. The base model gets a 2.2kWh unit, which offers a decent range of 75km on a single charge, and has a 75kmph top speed.

It has been treated with a long list of advanced features. It gets an LED headlight setup, OTA updates, a five-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, park assist, turn-by-turn navigation, crash and fall alert, two ride modes – Economy and Power, anti-theft alert, geo-fencing, USB charging port and live indicator status.

Latest Trim

For those who want extra juice from the e-scooter, the model is also available in a 3.4kWh battery pack. It offers an impressive range of 100km on a single charge and has a top speed of 80kmph.
