Ever since the Tata Avinya was showcased as a concept at the AutoExpo 2023, it grabbed a lot of headlines, all thanks to its futuristic approach and impressive design. Now, it has been reported that Avinya will arrive as a brand, not as a single model.

As per the details shared by Auto Car India, the company’s chief commercial officer in passenger electric mobility, Vivek Srivatsa said, “Avinya is not going to be a single model; it’s brand, and we will spawn multiple products under that brand”.

Srivatsa also revealed that the entire product line under Avinya will sit at the company’s top position. He said, “When it comes to placement, there will be some overlap with regular Tata EVs, but there is no hard ceiling for Tata Motors now, and no hard and fast price differentiation”, as reported by Auto Car India.

Multiple Products under Avinya

Reports suggested that the Avinya portfolio is likely to hit the market with multiple products with different sizes, styling, and technology. The majority of the models are said to be SUVs and MPVs.

Amid this, there are questions, which are still not cleared. It is not confirmed whether Avinya will be operated as an independent brand or will work as a sub-model sub-brand under Tata Motors.

Investment for Portfolio

To make the project a big hit, the company reportedly has committed an investment of Rs 9,000 crore. All the work related to the manufacturing will take place in Tata’s upcoming new plant in Tamil Nadu. The range will be developed using the company’s born-electric skateboard platform, offering an impressive range and smooth driving experience.

Expected Launch Date

It has been speculated that the model will likely arrive at the end of 2025. The brand has not shared the official details regarding the same yet. However, some reports suggest that it will make an official announcement soon.
