Skoda Kushaq Onyx Gets Automatic Transmission Variant, Price Starts at Rs 13.49 Lakh

The Czech Republic carmaker Skoda has launched the Onyx model in an automatic avatar. It has been introduced at the price tag of Rs 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The trim has been added after witnessing the growing demand from customers for the AT transmission. It costs 90,000 extra as compared to the manual version.

Any Cosmetic Changes?

Talking about the updates, the company has only touched the gearbox, featuring the same style statement as the manual model. It gets the same LED headlight setup, paired with L-shaped DRLs with fog lamps below. The model also flaunts Onyx badging on B-pillars, which makes it unique as compared to the standard model.

Interior Highlights

Inside, the compact SUV continues to offer a leather-wrapped two-spoke multi-function steering wheel with mounted control buttons. Apart from this, the vehicle has been treated with a premium cabin, complemented by automatic climate control, ‘Onyx’ scuff plates and cushions. On the entertainment from, the latest offering gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is supported by all the wireless car connect technology. It also supports wireless Android, Apple, and Auto CarPlay.

Powertrain Options

Under the hood, Kushaq uses an impressive 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine, which churns out a maximum power of 114bhp and 178Nm of peak torque. The unit is mated with a six-speed automatic transmission.
