Tata Punch.ev receives 5 star rating under BNCAP

In child occupant protection standard Punch.ev secured 45 points out of 49.
New Delhi: Tata does it again! Tata Punch.ev receives 5 star rating for both adult and child occupant safety under the test conducted by BNCAP.

India’s own car crash test assessment unit, Bharat new car assessment program (BNCAP) was introduced last year to advanced vehicle and road safety standards.


Today, Bharat NCAP released the statement regarding Tata Punch.ev securing 5 stars in both adult and child safety standards via its LinkedIn page. Tata Punch which ranges from INR 10.99 lakh to INR 15.49 lakh has been one of the top selling cars in India.


Safety ratings

In adult occupant protection standard Punch.ev secured 31.46 out of 32 points. In the frontal offset deformable barrier test the car received 15.71 points out of 16. While in the movable deformable barrier test it secured 15.74 out of 16 points.

In child occupant protection standard Punch.ev secured 45 points out of 49.

This is Tata’s fourth 5 star rating under the Bharat NCAP test protocols. Tata volunteered to be the first one to get its car crash tested under the Bharat NCAP, and outshined with 5 star ratings for its Safari and Harrier. Following that, Tata Nexon.ev became the third car to receive 5 star rating under the BNCAP.
