Indian Forging Industry names Ashwani Jotshi as new secretary general

New Delhi: The Association of Indian Forging Industry (AIFI) has appointed Ashwani Jotshi as its new Secretary General, bringing over thirty years of experience from the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA). Jotshi's leadership skills will be valuable in his new role at AIFI.

"I am thrilled to take on the role of Secretary General at the Association of Indian Forging Industry (AIFI)," said Vikas Bajaj, President of AIFI. He highlighted the industry's role in connecting manufacturing sectors and end-user industries, addressing challenges like skilled labor shortages and increasing energy prices.

Jotshi is committed to working with the AIFI team to enhance the industry's global competitiveness by addressing these challenges. He has a track record of accomplishments from his time at ACMA, where he led various projects and expanded the association's presence in different regions.

As the new Secretary General of AIFI, Jotshi aims to broaden the association's membership base, improve educational sessions, and establish strategic partnerships. He plans to create forums for young business leaders and digital innovators and conduct industry surveys for development insights.

"In his new role as Secretary General of AIFI, we look forward to Jotshi's strategic insights and initiatives to further strengthen our industry," Bajaj said. Jotshi's industry expertise makes him a valuable asset to AIFI and its members, showcasing a proactive approach in advocating for the forging industry and addressing its pressing issues.
