The mobility journey for Moving Tech started in 2020 with Yatri, India’s first open mobility app developed on the BECKN/ONDC protocol. Following this, Namma Yatri was introduced in Bengaluru in 2022. These initiatives align with Moving Tech's commitment to Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). The company's community-first model aims to improve service quality for passengers, boost driver income, and reduce customer costs. Namma Yatri and its associated apps are open-source and feature open data metrics integrated into the ONDC Network. The company aims to create a transparent, efficient, and sustainable transportation ecosystem analogous to the "UPI for mobility."

Operating in eight cities and towns, Moving Tech has facilitated 46 million trips and generated INR 7 billion in driver earnings without taking commissions. The company boasts a user base of 7 million and 400,000 drivers, reflecting its rapid growth. The newly raised funds will be directed towards technology, research and development, and product innovations to create an integrated, fully digitized, and open public transportation system. The aim is to provide a level of convenience and seamlessness comparable to cab or auto travel, thereby encouraging increased usage of public transport for a sustainable future.
Moving Tech originated from Juspay, a leading payments company in India known for its contributions to the BHIM app, UPI SDK, OCEN/GeM SAHAY, and the Beckn/Namma Yatri projects. The company's mission is to provide low-cost, reliable technology to service providers like drivers while fostering a sustainable, community-driven mobility ecosystem in India. The zero-commission model on the ONDC network is a cornerstone of its operations.
