Hyundai launches Exter SUV with Dual Cylinder CNG technology, starting at INR 8.5 Lakh

Hyundai Exter Hy-CNG Duo
New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has launched the sporty entry SUV, Exter, with Dual Cylinder CNG technology at a starting price of INR 8,50,300. This vehicle offers the convenience of running on both petrol and CNG, providing high fuel efficiency and ample boot space.

Tarun Garg of Hyundai Motor India Limited commented on the launch: "Hyundai Motor India Limited is committed to providing sustainable and innovative mobility solutions. With high fuel efficiency, ample boot space, and versatile offerings of the SUV, we are confident that the Exter Hy-CNG Duo will appeal to customers looking for a reliable and efficient vehicle that helps reduce their carbon footprint and also fulfils their desire for exploration."

The SUV is powered by a 1.2-litre Bi-Fuel (Petrol with CNG) engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Exter Hy-CNG Duo delivers a fuel efficiency of 27.1 Km/kg (ARAI Tested). To ensure safety, the SUV is equipped with a company-fitted CNG system with an Integrated Electronic Control Unit (ECU), guaranteeing a seamless driving experience while shifting from petrol to CNG and vice versa.

The Exter Hy-CNG Duo is designed to maximize practical usage of boot space, catering to travel needs. It comes with various features, including a Smart Electric Sunroof, LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), LED tail lamps, Fully Automatic Temperature Control (FATC), and a 20.32 cm touchscreen infotainment system. Additionally, it boasts advanced safety features such as 6 airbags, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) highline, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC). Along with the Exter Hy-CNG Duo, Hyundai is also offering the Exter Hy-CNG (Single Cylinder) model for customers.

The Hyundai Exter has been engineered to deliver smart mobility experiences built on advanced technologies, fulfilling the evolving aspirations of Gen Z customers. Since its launch in 2023, the Hyundai Exter has seen remarkable customer response, with over 93,000 units sold to date.
