Simple Energy raises USD 20 mn in Series A funding round

Electric two-wheeler startup Simple Energy announced on Monday that it has raised USD 20 million in a Series A funding round. The round included contributions from both current and new investors. The funds will be utilized to increase production capacity, support expansion into new markets, and develop new products.

Simple Energy said the newly raised capital will be strategically deployed to enhance production capacity and extend their dealership network across the country. The company sells two models, the Simple One and the Simple Dot One.

Currently piloting in Bengaluru, Simple Energy has commenced deliveries in the city. The company is also preparing to open dealership stores in multiple cities including Bengaluru, Mysore, Chennai, Vijayawada, Goa, Vizag, Kochi, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Surat, Delhi, and Hyderabad in the coming weeks.
