Maruti Suzuki profit increases 47% to INR 3,650 cr in Q1 FY25

Shares of Maruti Suzuki ended 2.28% up at INR 13,167.95 apiece on the BSE.
Maruti Suzuki India reported a 47% jump in its net profit to INR 3,650 crore for the April-June quarter, driven by cost reduction efforts, favourable commodity prices, and foreign exchange gains. The auto major had recorded a net profit of INR 2,485 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.

Net sales for the June quarter rose to INR 33,875 crore compared to INR 30,845 crore in the year-ago period. According to an exchange filing, the company sold 5,21,868 vehicles during the first quarter, marking a 5% increase from the same period in the previous fiscal.

Sales in the domestic market amounted to 4,51,308 units in the first quarter, an increase of 4% over the same period last fiscal. Export sales saw a growth of 12%, reaching 70,560 units in the April-June quarter.
