Goodyear appoints Mamatha Chamarthi and Will Roland as CDO & CMO

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has appointed Mamatha Chamarthi as senior vice president and Chief Digital Officer, and Will Roland as senior vice president and Chief Marketing Officer, both effective August 1. They will report to CEO and President Mark Stewart, who emphasized the importance of understanding customers through data and consumer insights.

"It's imperative that we understand our customers on a deeper level and both Will and Mamatha allow us to leverage data and consumer insights to transform how we meet customer needs," said Stewart. "I am confident both will help us make agile and data-informed decisions and I am excited to have them join Team Goodyear."

Chamarthi joins from Stellantis, where she held the role of Chief Software Business Growth Officer and also served as Chief Information and Digital Officer. In her previous positions, she was responsible for significant software business growth, global connected vehicle initiatives, cybersecurity, and enterprise IT. She also has leadership experience from ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Consumers Energy, and Daimler Group. At Goodyear, she will oversee all digital business aspects and traditional CIO responsibilities, as well as establish and execute a comprehensive digital strategy.

Roland most recently served as senior vice president Media, Consumers, Analytics, and Digital for Stellantis North America. In this role, he integrated data, analytics, and insights into consumer marketing channels. He also held the position of president of Solutions for Publicis Media, where he managed data and platform management, advanced analytics, data science, and applied marketing strategies. As CMO, Roland will guide Goodyear's brand and marketing strategies, focusing on top-line actions and brand optimization using advanced analytics and market insights.

As Stewart noted, "I am confident both will help us make agile and data-informed decisions and I am excited to have them join Team Goodyear."
