By incorporating ESP across its vehicle range, Maruti Suzuki aims to democratise advanced safety features, ensuring customers receive enhanced value and a safer driving experience
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has announced that the Electronic Stability Program+ (ESP) is now standard across its entire passenger vehicle lineup. The new additions to the list equipped with ESP are the Alto K10 and S-Presso. This move aligns with Maruti Suzuki's commitment to passenger safety and addresses the evolving needs of customers, notably without increasing the price of these models.

What is ESP?
ESP is a crucial safety technology designed to counteract a vehicle's skidding movements, ensuring it stays aligned with its natural path. The program integrates the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Traction Control System (TCS), and Stability Control (SC). It uses sensors to measure the vehicle’s movement and an electronic control unit to adjust the vehicle’s trajectory, thereby enhancing stability and control.

Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, “The addition of Electronic Stability Program+ as a standard feature on Maruti Suzuki product portfolio aligns with our endeavour to democratise advanced features and it significantly increases the value proposition of our vehicles. This is a step towards ensuring that our customers enjoy enhanced safety through improved driving confidence regardless of the model they choose. At Maruti Suzuki, we believe that advanced technology should be accessible to all, and this reinforces our commitment to delivering high-quality vehicles that cater to the diverse needs of Indian consumers."

The addition of Electronic Stability Program (ESP) to Maruti Suzuki's vehicles further enhances the safety standards offered by the renowned automaker. ESP is a crucial safety feature that helps in preventing skidding and loss of control in emergency situations, thereby reducing the risk of accidents. By incorporating ESP along with existing safety features such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, engine immobiliser, HEARTECT Platform, and a collapsible steering column, Maruti Suzuki is setting a new benchmark for safety in the automotive industry.

The integration of ESP will provide drivers with added confidence and peace of mind while driving, especially on challenging road conditions or during sudden maneuvers. This move reinforces Maruti Suzuki's reputation for prioritizing safety and innovation in its vehicles, making them a preferred choice for customers looking for reliable and secure transportation options.

By incorporating ESP across its vehicle range, Maruti Suzuki aims to democratise advanced safety features, ensuring customers receive enhanced value and a safer driving experience. This initiative reflects the company's focus on providing high-quality vehicles that meet the diverse needs of Indian consumers.
