The news of the Hyundai N Vision 74 entering production was confirmed at the brand's annual CEO and investor day presentation. At the time, the brand called the vehicle as its future "high-performance EV". Showcased by the brand earlier, the concept pays homage to the 1974 Hyundai Pony Coupe which was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, the legendary designer responsible for the DMC Delorean, Lotus Esprit Series, Fiat Panda, and VW Golf MK1.
Unlike the aforementioned cars, the Vision 74 has retro-perfect looks with sharp lines and a massive rear spoiler. Meanwhile, the car gets headlights borrowed from the Ioniq 5. The same goes for the tail lamps which add to the car's aggressive persona.
The brand has not confirmed the details of the powertrain. However, it is expected to get an electric-hydrogen powertrain. If reports are to be trusted they will have an 800-volt all-electric powertrain. It will have two electric powertrain motors that are capable of producing 670 hp of power and 900 Nm of peak torque. This power will be transferred to the rear wheels of the car. To produce all this power, the car will be equipped with a 62.4 kWh battery pack. Additionally, the car also has an 85 kW hydrogen fuel-cell stack which is fuelled by hydrogen tanks placed at the rear end.
