Vjaitra Air Mobility partnered with Trouvé Innovation Hub Inc. to develop a hydrogen-powered 5-seater air taxi.

New Delhi: Vjaitra Air Mobility, a division of Darsh Dronobotics Systems Pvt Ltd, has partnered with Canada-based Trouvé Innovation Hub Inc. to develop a hydrogen-powered 5-seater air taxi, aligning with India’s Net Zero targets. The collaboration, which focuses on sustainable urban air mobility, marks a significant step in the country's aviation sector.

Vjaitra Air Mobility's collaboration with Trouvé Innovation Hub Inc. will facilitate the creation of a full-scale prototype of the hydrogen air taxi. The air taxis, capable of covering distances up to 600 km, are designed to offer quieter flights, zero emissions, and reduced operating costs compared to conventional aircraft.

"We are excited to join forces with Trouvé Innovation Hub Inc. in this visionary project," said Ratandeep Tripathi, CEO, Vjaitra Air Mobility. "Their support in fundraising and innovation will be instrumental in bringing our hydrogen-based air taxi to life, aligning with our commitment to sustainable and cutting-edge transportation solutions."

This partnership comes as part of India’s broader strategy to address urban congestion and pollution, with the air taxis being considered for various applications, including passenger transport, ambulance services, and disaster recovery operations. Trouvé Innovation Hub Inc. will assist Vjaitra in securing the necessary funds for the project, leveraging its network of private investors and government support.

"Our partnership with Vjaitra Air Mobility represents a significant step towards the future of Urban Air Mobility (UAM). We are confident that together, we can achieve new heights in developing eco-friendly transportation technologies that will benefit cities and communities worldwide," said Faruk Rama, CEO, Trouvé Innovation Hub Inc.

The hydrogen air taxi project is seen as a potential game-changer for urban mobility in India, where congested roads and environmental concerns are pushing the need for innovative transport solutions.
