Indian Battery Manufacturers Association appoints Preeti Bajaj as its new president

The Indian Battery Manufacturers Association (IBMA) in its 3rd AGM appoints Preeti Bajaj, CEO and MD of Luminous Power Technologies Pvt. Ltd., as its new President. Bajaj, who previously served as Vice President, succeeds Arun Mittal of Exide Industries Ltd. Rajesh Jindal, President & Chief Marketing Officer of Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Ltd., was elected the new Vice President.

Technology driven missions of IBMA

Preeti Bajaj is dedicated to advancing IBMA's mission of creating a sustainable, innovative, and globally competitive battery manufacturing industry in India. She aims to drive technological advancements, promote sustainable practices, and strengthen India's global leadership in the sector.

"Emphasising the energy sector's pivotal moment, she expressed her honour in taking on this role and her eagerness to collaborate with members to elevate the industry both nationally and internationally."

Participants from the Delhi Pollution Control Committee attended the meeting and acknowledged IBMA's initiatives and suggestions regarding the implementation and compliance with Battery Waste Management Rules (BWMR 2022).

Bajaj's election marks a significant step

Preeti Bajaj's election marks a significant step for the organisation, especially in a time marked by rapid technological changes and evolving environmental regulations. Her leadership is expected to contribute towards achieving the association's long-term goals.

Rajesh Jindal's role as Vice President will also be crucial as the organisation seeks to navigate the challenges and opportunities in the battery manufacturing landscape.
