Minda Corporation partners with Sanco Connecting Technology for EV connection systems

This significant agreement underlines the commitment of both firms to support the growing demand for electric vehicles in India with advanced technological solutions.
Minda Corporation Limited, the leading company of Spark Minda, has signed a Technology Licensing Agreement with Sanco Connecting Technology from China, a leader in EV connection systems. This agreement aims to boost Minda Corporation’s product offerings in the growing EV industry, particularly in Electric Distribution Systems (EDS). The companies will collaboratively develop EV connecting systems, charging gun assemblies, bus bars, cell contact systems, Power Distribution Units (PDU), and Battery Distribution Units (BDU) locally in India.

Impact on Minda Corporation

This partnership enhances Minda Corporation’s capabilities to design, develop, and manufacture advanced EDS solutions for the Indian EV market. It will also fortify the vertical integration capabilities of Minda Corporation’s Wiring Harness Division, solidifying its role as a crucial part of the EV supply chain ecosystem.

Aakash Minda, Executive Director, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration: “We are excited to partner with SANCO, a collaboration that marks a significant milestone in our pursuit to deliver comprehensive and customised Electrical Distribution System (EDS) solutions to the EV market.
