“Currently, we are exporting 30% of the production volume from India into the world. And we are planning to expand those operations,” added the CEO.
This will be done through the country’s target of sustainability. “In our Indian plants, we have green energy already sourced and installed the photovoltaic energy in the Pune plant covering 30% of our total consumption in 2025…. We have reduced our water consumption in our plants here in India by 55% since 2010. And of course, we also are looking at our waste,” he added.
Globally the company aims to sell and produce 1 million vehicles in the upcoming years.

This will be done by launching a variety of technology products, from hybrids to electric vehicles.The company will also be launching Skoda Kylaq in Q1 2025 under the compact SUV category.
“New battery EV is in the pipeline for India,” said Zellmer.
He further announced Skoda will introduce an entry-level EV launched globally in 2026, which might be considered for India. This will be followed by SUV Enyaq and SUV Elroq.
Enyaq, which is currently being sold in Europe will be available in India next year as a battery electric vehicle (BEV), added the CEO.
