Ola showroom set on fire.
A 26-year-old man was arrested in Karnataka for allegedly setting fire to an Ola Electric showroom due to dissatisfaction with the servicing of his newly purchased e-scooter. The incident occurred on Tuesday and has intensified concerns over the quality of service at Ola Electric, India's leading e-scooter manufacturer.

As per reports, Mohammad Nadeem, a mechanic by profession, bought an Ola scooter from the showroom 20 days ago, but it developed issues. Following issues with the vehicle, Nadeem repeatedly sought servicing at the showroom in Kalaburagi, about 570 kilometers from Bengaluru. According to Kalaburagi's police commissioner, Nadeem "went multiple times" but was dissatisfied with the response. On Tuesday, he reportedly brought petrol to the showroom and set fire to six bikes. The fire caused damage estimated at INR 850,000, though no injuries were reported.

Ola's Response

Ola Electric, which recently listed on stock exchanges, has not yet commented on the incident. The company operates 431 service stations across India, according to its website.

The incident comes two weeks after a fire broke out at an Ola showroom in Indore in Madhya Pradesh. Ola was unavailable for comments. A large fire erupted at an Ola Electric showroom in Indore on Wednesday evening. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, and the showroom was fully evacuated, according to ACP Tushar Singh.

The fire occurred at the Ola Electric Showroom in the Geeta Bhawan area of the city. The fire brigade has arrived at the scene and is working to extinguish the flames.
