NSRCEL at IIM Bangalore, in partnership with Maruti Suzuki, has launched the fourth cohort of its incubation program for mobility startups.
NSRCEL, the startup hub at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), in collaboration with Maruti Suzuki India Limited, has launched the 4th cohort of its incubation program for mobility startups. This initiative is designed to foster early-stage startups working on technology-driven innovations in the automobile and mobility sectors.

Six-month program to support early-stage startups

The six-month program aims to support startups in the proof-of-concept and early revenue stages. By providing tailored mentorship and resources, the initiative seeks to turn these innovative ideas into profitable businesses. Selected startups will receive incubation support from NSRCEL and the opportunity to conduct paid proof-of-concept (POC) trials with Maruti Suzuki. This enables startups to test their solutions in real-world conditions, while also opening avenues to the Japanese market, international partnerships, and further growth opportunities.

Focus areas for innovation

The program focuses on emerging technologies and solutions in key areas such as Green Manufacturing, Mobility/Mobility Infrastructure, Vehicle Technology, Data & AI, Clean Tech, Digital Transformation, and Industry 4.0. These sectors are pivotal to addressing the evolving needs of customers and driving sustainable growth in the mobility industry.

Anand Sri Ganesh, CEO of NSRCEL, expressed enthusiasm for the program. He said, "our partnership with Maruti Suzuki is set to drive transformative innovation in the mobility sector. We are pleased to announce the fourth cohort, following the success of the previous three, which showcased outstanding startups with innovative solutions. We eagerly anticipate the new ideas this cohort will bring to the ecosystem."

Comprehensive support for startups

Throughout the program, participating startups will benefit from personalised guidance on regulatory matters, interactive workshops, and opportunities for shared learning. They will also gain access to domain experts from Maruti Suzuki, resources from IIMB and valuable connections with investors focused on the mobility space.
