GreenLine and Sterlite Copper partner for sustainable LNG logistics

This partnership with Sterlite Copper demonstrates GreenLine's ongoing commitment to creating sustainable and environmentally friendly logistics solutions.
GreenLine Mobility Solutions has partnered with Sterlite Copper, a division of Vedanta Ltd, to decarbonise Sterlite Copper's logistics operations by deploying LNG-powered vehicles.

The collaboration commenced with the official flag-off of LNG trucks at Vedanta's Sterlite Copper Plant in Silvassa. These vehicles will play a key role in transporting finished goods to the northern region using a reverse logistics model, significantly improving logistics efficiency while reducing carbon emissions.

GreenLine's LNG-powered trucks are designed to carry a 40-tonne payload and can travel up to 1,200 kilometers on a single tank, offering substantial operational advantages over conventional vehicles. Anand Mimani, CEO of GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd, highlighted the importance of this collaboration, stating:

"Our partnership with Sterlite Copper marks an important milestone in our commitment to sustainable logistics. By integrating our LNG technology into their operations, we not only enhance our service offerings but also set a standard for decarbonisation in the transportation sector. Together, we are taking significant steps towards a cleaner, greener future."

Commitment to sustainability

GreenLine is innovating sustainability across various industries, including Cement, Steel, Metals & Mining, FMCG, Express Cargo, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, and Consumer Goods. Their LNG-powered trucks are engineered to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 30% while also significantly lowering other harmful emissions compared to traditional diesel trucks.

Since its inception, GreenLine’s LNG truck fleet has covered over 22 million kilometers, leading to a reduction of approximately 6,000 tonnes of emissions. This partnership with Sterlite Copper demonstrates GreenLine's ongoing commitment to creating sustainable and environmentally friendly logistics solutions.
