Tesla price cut
Tesla has cut prices in a number of its major markets, including China and Germany, following price cuts in the United States, as it grapples with falling sales and an intensifying price war, especially against Chinese electric vehicles (EVs).

Following are details of the price cuts:

CHINA

Tesla cut the starting price of its revamped Model 3 in China by 14,000 yuan (USD 1,932.90) to 231,900 yuan.

Its Model Y is now selling at a starting price of 249,900 yuan, down from 263,900 yuan previously.

UNITED STATES

U.S. prices of the Model Y, Model X and Model S vehicles were cut by USD 2,000.

The company also slashed the price of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) driver assistant software to USD 8,000 from USD 12,000.

In March, Tesla raised the prices of certain Model Y vehicles by USD 1,000.

GERMANY

The price of the Model 3 rear-wheel drive was trimmed to 40,990 euros (USD 43,601.06) from 42,990 euros in February.

Tesla also cut prices for its Model Y Long Range and Model Y Performance vehicles in January before raising prices for them the next month.
