Tarte’s mandate is to oversee technological advancements, with a key focus on driving cutting-edge innovations in areas such as Mobility As A Service (MaaS), Battery As A Service (BaaS) , Hydrogen Engines (H2ICE), and other related areas for Reliance New Mobility’s Bengaluru division. These will be critical for sustainable mobility solutions in India, which Reliance plans to offer.

In that role he was responsible for the development of EVs like the e2O, e2O Plus, and the Treo 3-wheeler platform.
Prior to M&M, Tarte led operations and product development for Sonalika Group owned International Cars & Motors (ICML) as its COO. He was responsible for the ground-up development of the OEM’s first passenger vehicle, the Rhino Rx MUV, featuring a 2L BS4 CRDI powertrain.
He started his career in 1994 at Mahindra & Mahindra’s Vehicle Engineering (R&D) Dept in Nasik, and worked on multiple key projects like Marshal, Maxx, Bolero etc.
