Skoda Slavia and Kushaq to Get 6 Airbags as Standard Across Trims, Here's What Brand Says

As the auto industry is at its peak in India right now, brands leaving no stone unturned to provide extra safety in the vehicles. In a move to enhance the safety rating in the product line, leading car maker Skoda has announced 6 airbags as standard in Kushaq and Slavia across all trims.

Reported says that the decision has been taken to make the above-mentioned models safer in the segment. It also has been reported the company won’t do any cost-cutting after these safety additions. All the variants of both Slavia and Kushaq will continue to offer all the features as before.

Here’s What Brand Director Says

Commenting about the decision, Brand Director in India, Petr Janeba said, “Safety has always been intrinsic to the Skoda DNA. We were the first brand to score a full 5-stars for adults and children under the Global NCAP tests. Our emphasis on safety embodies our Human Touch approach, and underscores our focus on being a family brand.”

In addition, he said, “We always offered frontal airbags in our base variants and six in our higher variants, each as safe as the other. As part of our MY24 updates, we now offer six airbags across all variants of the Kushaq and Slavia. We are always listening to our customers and shall continue to provide relevant upgrades and significant product actions within our product portfolio and our variant line- up.”

Here’s List of Some Top Safety Features

Now, both vehicles come with a long list of robust safety features as standard. The list includes electronic brake distribution, anti-lock braking system, electronic stability control, electronic differential lock system, multi-collision braking, and traction control system. Apart from this, the models also have an anti-theft alarm, tire pressure monitoring system, and engine immobilizer on board.
