Tata Nexon and Punch Grab Top Spot in Segment, Here's What Brand Claims

Ever since the Tata Punch and Nexon were released in the Indian market, both vehicles have received an overwhelming response from customers. Now, the company has shared that the models have topped the segment, and become the country’s most loved cars.

The news also has been shared across the social media. On Instagram, the company posted a photo, featuring both vehicles with a caption that reads, “Undisputed dominance. Unbeatable by a mile! Our happiness has doubled as your love and support drove our SUV twins – Tata Nexon and Tata Punch – to become India’s 1 and 2 SUVs. Congratulations to all for the historic achievement.”

Price Range of Both Models

Meanwhile, the Tata Nexon has been launched at the starting price of Rs 8.15 lakh and goes up to Rs  15.80 lakh for the top model. When it comes to the punch, it was introduced with a price tag between Rs 6.13 lakh to Rs 10.20 lakh. To note, all the mentioned prices are ex-showroom and might fluctuate slightly, depending upon the cities and states.

Nexon Engine and Power

Under the hood, Nexon features a 1497 cc diesel and 1199cc petrol engine. It has been claimed by the brand that the vehicle is capable of delivering a decent mileage between 17.01 to 24.08 kmpl, and offers a impressive ground clearance of 208 mm.

Punch Power Figures

As far as the Punch is concerned, it is powered by an 1199cc petrol engine, which generates a maximum power of 85bhp and a peak torque of 113Nm. The unit is paired with either a five-speed MT or AMT gearbox
