Anand Mahindra Unveils India's First Electric Flying Taxi, Check Details

India is likely to receive its first electric air taxi by next year. Yes, you read it right! The news has been confirmed by Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group. He even shared the images of a prototype, which has been developed by the ePlane company, an initiative of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras.

All About Air Taxi

It has been reported that the air taxi will be a two-seater aircraft, which will offer smooth air travel to the public in the future. It will have a maximum range of 200 km, and will fly at an average speed of 200 km/h with a cruising ability of 160 km/h.

Sharing insight about the project, the Professor of Aerospace Engineering at IIT Madras said, “It has been designed to offer up to 10X faster intra-city commute and cargo transportation, we aim to alleviate on-road traffic congestion in cities through our flagship product, quoted by Teambhp.
