After successfully launching the electric sedan Seal, China’s Build Your Dreams (BYD) now started dispatching the vehicle. It has been reported that the company delivered 200 cars in one day on May 26, 2024.
Currently, the deliveries kickstarted in the major cities in the country. It includes Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kochi. Interested customers can reserve the vehicle at the fully refundable token amount of Rs 1.25 lakh.
Overall Booking
It has been informed that the brand has received an overwhelming response from customers since day one. The company has reported 200 bookings in a single day, securing over 1,000 bookings in just three months since the price was revealed.
Price
BYD Seal was launched in India at the starting price of Rs 41 lakh, while the top model goes up to Rs 53 lakh ( all ex-showroom). The electric sedan is offered in three variants – Dynamic, Premium, and Performance, allow the customers to choose trim as per their needs.
The model is available in multiple color options. The list includes Atlantis Grey, Arctic Blue, Aurora White, and Cosmos Black.
Battery
BYD Seal has been built on e-platform 3.0, featuring an 800V electrical architecture. The model is available in two battery setups. The base trim uses a 61.44kWh battery, paired with a rear-axle-mounted electric motor. It generates a maximum power of 201bhp and 310Nm of torque. The company claimed that the vehicle is capable of providing an impressive range of 510km.
