You've seen ‘Venom’ in ‘batik’ — now watch ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ in ‘wayang kulit’ (VIDEO)

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 22 — First, Sony Pictures Malaysia collaborated with local artist Arif Rafhan for a unique art series inspired by Marvel Comics character “Venom” and Malaysia's batik.

Now, the studio has decided to share their twist to the Kelantanese wayang kulit version using the symbiote with Venom: Tarian Terakhir — a direct translation of the of the upcoming, latest instalment of the series, Venom: The Last Dance

Produced by the Fusion Wayang Kulit Association, the effort combining modern and classic elements in a 55-second short video took over two months to complete.

A two minute and nine seconds video was also uploaded yesterday, showing the efforts behind the scenes to bring Venom to life with the iconic Malaysian art form.

Venom: The Last Dance is set to be released on October 24.
