1. Some people start pouring more water to these plants than the required amount. They need to understand that Bougainvillea plants do not require much water. 2. These thorny shrubby vines require fertilisers once after every 30-40 days. If the Bougainvillea plant is in a flower pot, its nutritional values start depleting very fast and the flowers also start decreasing. 3. Talking about fertilisers, one should try opting for a natural product only instead of a chemical one. Natural fertilisers can be prepared from the manure available in the market. To prepare this, put two cups of vermicompost in a vessel and add two spoons of potassium powder and phosphorus powder. Now, this mixture can be used as a natural fertiliser in the Bougainvillea plant.
4. The process of applying fertilisers should also be kept in mind. To apply this substance to the plants, cultivate the soil bed with the help of a hoe. Due to this step, ample sunlight and air will reach the roots and fertilisation process will be done at a faster speed. After adding fertiliser, cover the roots with soil and then pour water.
5. It is advisable to keep the Bougainvillea plants in the areas where they can be in contact with the sunlight. So, if you can’t find any such area in the interiors of the house, better keep it outdoors.
