Samsung is all set to expand its lineup of high-end smartwatches and introduce other interesting gadgets for users soon. The tech giant, who recently announced its first-quarter financial results for 2024, hinted at bringing new ‘Premium’ smartwatches and the Galaxy Smart Ring in the market this year.

“For wearables, [MX Business] will strengthen the Galaxy ecosystem experience through the expansion of new models and form factors like the Galaxy Ring,” said Samsung, as reported by Forbes. “For smartwatches, the MX Business will strive to meet the demand for upgrades through the launch of new premium models.”

Samsung had earlier teased their Galaxy Ring and also showed a prototype during their MWC 2024 event in Barcelona, Spain. However, the company hasn’t provided much information about the next series of smartwatches.

Several media reports suggest that the South Korean tech giant is planning to launch not one, but three variants within the new smartwatch series. The highly-anticipated Galaxy Watch 7 Pro or Galaxy Watch Ultra is making waves on the internet as Samsung’s most advanced and high-end watch. However, an official announcement and the exact launch date of the product is still awaited.

The high-end Ultra model is expected to have a larger 578mAh battery along with other advanced technological updates.

The Galaxy smartwatch series from Samsung has been widely appreciated for its impressive features and classy looks. Earlier, a report also suggested that the company is working on a new affordable version of Smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch FE in which ‘FE’ stands for Fan Edition. The FE version will reportedly have features similar to the previously launched Galaxy Watch 4.

As per the company’s past announcements, Samsung might unveil the new Galaxy Smartwatch series and the Galaxy Ring somewhere in July or August 2024.

Samsung faces a big tech rivalry with Apple and if the reports are to be believed then Apple is also working on its Smart Rings and will be launching them in their September 2024 event alongside the much-awaited iPhone 16 series.
