Two videos from the US and Canada where anti-Israel protesters are caught on camera making antisemitic comments during the sweeping protests demanding universities divest from Israel have gone viral.

One video from Vancouver in British Columbia shows an elderly woman at a pro-Palestinian rally telling a woman recording her and the rally that ‘Jewish women are too ugly to be raped’.

“Jewish women are way too ugly to be raped,” the elderly lady was heard saying. The lady was waving a Palestinian flag and appeared confrontational and it took one of the protesters to move her away from the person who was recording the video.

The US, Canada, the UK and other Western European countries have seen massive protests against Israel’s war in Gaza. Counter-protests demanding Hamas be held accountable and rising antisemitism in these nations be addressed have also been held alongside the pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel protests.

American universities have emerged as a hotspot for these protests, forcing universities to take drastic measures to restore normalcy. The Columbia University administration told the New York Police Department (NYPD) to free its Hamilton Hall building from protesters on Tuesday.

The weeks of demonstrations — the most sweeping and prolonged unrest to rock US college campuses since the Vietnam war protests of the 1960s and 70s — have already led to several hundred arrests of students and other activists.

The NYPD arrested over 100 student protesters and will remain on campus till May 17, university authorities said.

These protests have seen students, faculty and protesters from both camps clash. Another video emerged on the internet where it was claimed that a Jewish girl suffered a concussion and was taken to the hospital for urgent medical attention after ‘pro-Palestine protesters’ beat her unconscious in University of California, Los Angeles.

“A medical student at UCLA was surrounded by 5 people. She suffered a concussion and was unable to recognize her family when she initially woke up. Thankfully she is in stable condition now,” co-owner of Trending Politics Colin Rugg said, citing Instagram user ThatKoreanJew.
